Are you looking to build in a little more prayer in your life? Do you find it hard just to sit down and pray? Would you like a little bit of structure in your prayer? Pray-As-You-Go is an awesome podcast by the Jesuits in England to help you pray. It basically uses the scripture of the day (usually from the Gospel of the daily mass) to help you become aware of God’s presence in your life and your relationship with Jesus. What I like about it is that it uses the same structure every day: After the sound of the bell to call you to prayer, there is a piece of music with a little explanation or if needed a translation of the theme of the music). The song is followed by a reading of scripture, followed by a reflection question. The scripture is then re-read, and there is a final question with an invitation to share with God anything that might have welled up inside of you. The prayer concludes with a Glory Be. The prayer takes about 10-15 minutes. It is geared for commuters (and so is only available for Monday-Friday). If you put it on your MP3 player, you can pray it anywhere, on your way to class or work, when taking a walk, when going to the gym etc.
